Opus Suite RDM
Systecon proudly introduces Opus Suite Refined Data Model (RDM), which equips users with enhanced modeling of product breakdowns and maintenance events, better compatibility with standards like S3000L, smoother integration with external data sources and an upgraded Location of Repair Analysis module (LORA XT).
Both functionality and ease of use have improved significantly.
New Levels of Flexibility and Efficiency
This new version of Opus Suite goes a few steps beyond our regular annual upgrades. Not only does it come with a completely upgraded input data model, but it also surpasses all previous upgrades when it comes to delivery of user requested improvements. It is the largest development effort ever for Opus Suite, and provides our users with new levels of modeling flexibility and efficiency. Equally important, the Refined Data Model provides a robust, agile, future proof platform for continued rapid development of analytics capabilities and functionality for many years to come.
New releases of Opus Suite RDM has been completed every 3-4 months, gradually adding new features and capabilities. Follow the link above to review the complete list of enhancements, and check the bottom of the list for the functionality added in the releases in July and October.
The following is an overview summary of the three largest and most important improvements in Opus Suite RDM.
Other User Benefits
Efficient modelling, compatibility with standards and improved integratability.
With the new version, users no longer have to choose between different modeling approaches, as one single methodology now facilitates flexible modeling of both the physical equipment breakdown and the maintenance structure. The new model also makes it easier to continuously adapt or expand a scenario description with new information.
The new data model is inspired by established standards like S3000L, and users will benefit from smoother interfacing with external data sources, like ERP, PLM and Maintenance Management Systems or LSAR databases.

Product Breakdown
Opus Suite RDM introduces a new way of modeling the combination of physical components and their maintenance structure. It also improves the ability to handle scenarios with different system configurations or variants of a product. New concepts like breakdown elements and realizations gives the user a whole new set of tools and flexibilities.
Maintenance Modeling
The new version presents several important improvements in maintenance modeling. Features like pre-tasks, packaging of tasks and failures triggering maintenance on multiple components makes it possible to mirror reality in a more consistent and user-friendly way. Major advances have also been made in the modeling of scheduled events, also known as preventive maintenance, where Opus Suite RDM offers new flexibility in the description of maintenance plans that allows modeling of aspects like sequences of tasks and related tasks, and where it is now possible to define common tasks that may be included in both preventive and corrective maintenance. It also better accommodates multiple levels of support organization complexity, with simplified maintenance levels (e.g. O, I, D). This enables streamlined modeling to support simple cases and the ability to infinitely expand to support more complex modeling requirements.
LORA
Location of Repair Analysis, or LORA XT, has been one of the key features in Opus Suite for a long time. While the powerful optimization and result analysis remain, the new version comes with a complete redesign of how a LORA scenario is described. It is not only more compact, intuitive, and easy to use but also very similar to how a non-LORA scenario is modeled. Improvements on the handling of non-primary items, discards, alternative tasks etc. further strengthens the position of Opus Suite as the world leading tool for LORA and Maintenance Concept Optimization.
